Life is movement. God is the Creator of movement. Humanity rebelled against His movement, and God has been on mission for His people since. His creation, you, are supremely important to Him. Elevation Church has been birthed to express God’s missional movement, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to restore us to God.
This church seeks to discover, live, and lift up this great movement of God. Our church is more than a building, an organization, or a Sunday morning. Elevation Church is a group of missionaries, a body of believers, and a population of diverse individuals united by a common relationship with Jesus Christ. We hope that you will find in this church family a people who love God and others, with a purpose to see others live their lives on mission for Jesus every day.
Elevating the Gospel that brings freedom, transformation, and hope to the Sierra Foothills and beyond.
Raising up generations of devoted followers of Jesus Christ that will live their life on mission for Jesus daily.
God is truth and has revealed His Truth in His word, the Bible, and in the person of Jesus Christ. We seek to know, embody, proclaim, and live out the truth of God's love (John 14:16; John 17:17;
God is always on mission for His people. He clearly showed us His eternal life by sending Jesus into the world to save it and sustain it. We seek to minister to the poor, oppressed, and lost by going out daily to live and extend His salvation to all (Isaiah 58:9-12; Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 19:10).
God exists in the perfect community of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created people to also live in community with one another. We seek to model deep and personal relationships by serving, loving, and caring for one another in authentic community (Acts 2; Acts 4; Galations 6:1-3).
"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."
"The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
>>John 17:17 & John 1:14 (NIV)
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
>>Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need."
